Very interesting on the author's language of "possession" in love. I started out wondering what meanings were being assigned to this talk. Fascinated to discover that in this except it was taken as read that possession referred to our attempts to tame and possess love and the love of another. Another meaning of possession might also be that one is willy-nilly possessed, and I'm thinking this, too, might be a language about love.
