The Floodwaters are rising.

LONDON UNDER SIEGE

CHAOS ON SHORE
Miles over his head and on the precipice of failure and extinction, Wesley must lead an overmatched and under-equipped shore team through biblical fire and flood, to salvage any hope of completing the vaccine in time to save humanity…

AFRICA DEVOURS
On their final mission, a unified Alpha team fights for the ultimate fate of the world – and for their very survival, trapped at ground zero of the fall of Man, inundated by a deluge of never-before-imagined threats, and knowing that failure in their mission means extinction for the species…

ARISEN, BOOK ELEVEN – DEATHMATCH

Update: Well, finally did it: MADE THE AMAZON TOP 100 OVERALL - on the first day after launch. Holy heck. What a milestone. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all the amazing, lovely, devoted readers of this series who made this happen. I'm so grateful to you all, and this was absolutely a team effort. With lots of love, Michael
Update the Two: Posted too soon - now up to #69! [Braces for Bill & Ted comments…]
There are currently about 1.2 million Kindle titles on Amazon, so that's a pretty good showing.

Finally: #62! And still hanging around the Top 100 a day later, which is equally miraculous.

And: My author rankings are also kind of surreal – for at least a few seconds in time, I'm in the Top 10 in both Science Fiction (one spot above George R.R. Martin), and Horror (on the same page as Stephen King).

about
close photo of Michael Stephen Fuchs

Fuchs is the author of the novels The Manuscript and Pandora's Sisters, both published worldwide by Macmillan in hardback, paperback and all e-book formats (and in translation); the D-Boys series of high-tech, high-concept, spec-ops military adventure novels – D-Boys, Counter-Assault, and Close Quarters Battle (coming in 2016); and is co-author, with Glynn James, of the bestselling Arisen series of special-operations military ZA novels. The second nicest thing anyone has ever said about his work was: "Fuchs seems to operate on the narrative principle of 'when in doubt put in a firefight'." (Kirkus Reviews, more here.)

Fuchs was born in New York; schooled in Virginia (UVa); and later emigrated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he lived through the dot-com boom. Subsequently he decamped for an extended period of tramping before finally rocking up in London, where he now makes his home. He does a lot of travel blogging, most recently of some very  long  walks around the British Isles. He's been writing and developing for the web since 1994 and shows no particularly hopeful signs of stopping.
