Upcoming Releases Recap!

Hello! It's been a while (too long? not long enough?) since I've been in touch, and a lot of readers have kindly written in individually to ask what's up – so I am herewith providing a quick recap of forthcoming new books by me:

ARISEN : Raiders

This is the epic story of the MARSOC Marines on the Kennedy during the first two years of the ZA, from the Fall to the beginning of the main series. It's going to be a four (or is it now five?) book “mini”-series, and the first of them will be out – yes, I know I said this before, but now it's actually true – sooner than you think! I'm really excited about this story cycle, which is turning out to be seriously blistering, and I think Fick Fanatics will be especially pleased. Look for release dates very soon!

Black Squadron

This is the novelization of the screenplay I wrote last year – and without question one of the best things I've ever done. It's the story of a platoon of U.S. Army Rangers, attached as a blocking force for a troop of Team 6 SEALs, all of them thrown together in the lethal cauldron of the Syrian civil war – where Israeli Mossad, Islamist militias, Kurdish peshmerga, Iranian Qods Force, and Russian Spetsnaz all play a lethal game… and from which only a few of them will walk away. Also out this year!

ARISEN : Operators

Another multi-book ARISEN spin-off mini-series, this will tell the story of the multi-national special operators based at Hereford (including Alpha team) during the first two years of the ZA. Look for it in 2021 (when we may dare hope the real end of the world will have finally ended…).

D-BOYS 3 : Close Quarters Battle

The third book of the D-Boys special-operations military adventure trilogy, this one will be out, erm… “next year”! Just as it has been every year since 2012! (I include this mainly to amuse a certain reader, Glen B, who likes to watch the “Coming in 20XX!” tag tick over every year. 🙂) But, seriously, I do intend to write this book someday.

AUDIOBOOKS! 🎤📚

  1. YES, there will Audible versions of all of these books (the Raiders books and Black Squadron have been confirmed);
  2. YES, they will actually (for once) be released sort of in the same century as the e-books & paperbacks – hopefully a delay of only a few weeks; and
  3. YES, by far most importantly… the immortal R.C. BRAY will be performing them.

I know it's been a while since ARISEN : Last Stand – but I think you're going to find the wait well worth it. For now, I can't possibly thank you enough for waiting, for a being a fan, and for so faithfully and lovingly supporting these books, and me as an author. I hope you and yours are all keeping well, and getting through this together. As I know you won't have forgotten… Hope Never Dies.

All my very best,
Michael

Fuchs is the author of the novels The Manuscript and Pandora's Sisters, both published worldwide by Macmillan in hardback, paperback and all e-book formats (and in translation); the D-Boys series of high-tech, high-concept, spec-ops military adventure novels – D-Boys, Counter-Assault, and Close Quarters Battle (coming in 2016); and is co-author, with Glynn James, of the bestselling Arisen series of special-operations military ZA novels. The second nicest thing anyone has ever said about his work was: "Fuchs seems to operate on the narrative principle of 'when in doubt put in a firefight'." (Kirkus Reviews, more here.)

Fuchs was born in New York; schooled in Virginia (UVa); and later emigrated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he lived through the dot-com boom. Subsequently he decamped for an extended period of tramping before finally rocking up in London, where he now makes his home. He does a lot of travel blogging, most recently of some very  long  walks around the British Isles. He's been writing and developing for the web since 1994 and shows no particularly hopeful signs of stopping.
